Lux P. Taylor is President of Taylor Properties Development Co., a commercial real estate development company, and Vice President of Potter-Taylor and Co., a commercial property management and brokerage firm. Both are local family-owned businesses located in Sacramento, California that have served the Sacramento Region for over 45 years in bringing quality investments to emerging neighborhoods. Lux has 18 years of broad experience in brokerage, property management, site identification, entitlements, design and construction of commercial real estate in California and Texas.
A Sacramento native, Lux, his wife Robin, and daughters Allyson and Erin and son Derek make Carmichael their home. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from University of California at Davis, and master’s degree in Real Estate and Regional Science from Southern Methodist University. Lux has distinguished himself, as one of the regions most thoughtful and successful developer of commercial/retail projects, in part, for his commitment and diligence in community outreach and his efforts to incorporate projects seamlessly into the existing community fabric.
Lux has served as a Redevelopment Commissioner from 1997-1999 on the Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Commission by appointment of the County Board of Supervisors, and has provided active leadership in both the International Conference of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Superior California. Lux is currently serving on Sacramento County’s Commercial Corridor Advisory Committee, and as Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Government Relations Committee for Northern California.
